I just hate how goku leaves at the end of GT without saying bye to his family or anyone, just leaves with the dragon ..... like i dont know that kinda got me mad how it just ends |

- The dramatic increase in everybody's power levels as the series progresses. I understand why they did this but it still annoys me. I think they could have done it all a little bit more realistically if I'm honest, not that I'm suggesting DBZ is a realistic Manga/Anime mind. I'm not talking about Goku or Vejita either. - The ease at young Trunk's and Goten's ascension's to Super Sayian. Again, I know they did this to keep up with the rest of the Z characters but it still doesn't sit well with me. - Fusions. Am I alone in despising them? - Filler. I can't stand the filler episodes. I didn't realize what the filler actually was until I read the manga but when I did I realized it was pretty much the episodes I didn't like, such as when Gohan, Bulma and Krillen think they're on Namek but aren't and the Garlic Junior episodes. |

I agree with all of those. also: the lack of character traits/ character development, being able to blow up planets if they missed/ silly explanations for how overpowered they were, lack of emphises on all non-sayian characters, (no offense to Akira) the lack of change in the appearance of attacks to show an increase in streangth (with the exception of Final Flash) and the lack of actual martial arts. my biggest frustration with the villians and clothing styles and faces, on a side note, is that there are soooo many similar characteristics among appearances, I start questioning Akira's creativity. the list still goes on however. It's actually nothing short of amazing that I have starting watching it again, and am using my time to make a alternate universe version of the series.

1) It could use a little more character interaction: He created a lot of great characters and set up a lot of interesting relationships(platonic and romantic), I would have liked to have "gotten inside of their heads" a little more. Sometimes things just felt too rushed. An extra scene/page or two, that's all I'm asking. :< 2) Memorable characters from DB like Tenshinhan, Yamcha, and Kuririn became bystanders and, in some cases, plot devices. It seemed like a bit of a waste. 3) I do like Hironobu Kageyama's music and Head Cha La has always been one of my favorite songs in the series, but must he do so many of the themes? There just wasn't enough variety, it became repetitive. I prefer the theme songs in DB and even GT(despite how awful the series was). 4) Not enough strategy in (most of) the fights. Too much focus on whose "stronger" than who. Instead of the ever-predictable "Spirit Bomb" or new "transformation," how about a clever strategy instead? 5) Personalities were often too similar: Mostly in villains. Always arrogant and often with very similar motives(dominance, power, control, etc). I don't mind it, but it would have been nice to see a different kind of villain for once. Android 16, for example, was a nice change of pace. |

Yep my only beef with the series was definately how he put off all the non-saiyan characters like that. In the original DB I loved Yamcha and Kuririn and it was sad for me to see them quickly become so useless. |

I agree with the non-Saiyan characters being put to one side as the series progressed. So many possibilities with Piccolo, Krillin, Tien and Yamcha that they just completely ignored. I also hate most of the filler. Some of it's alright and adds to the story pretty well, like the Pikkon mini-saga, but a lot of it sucks. Mostly the Chi-Chi stuff. |

Like I've probably already stated, not enough Videl. I would like to see a Videl movie where we get to see what her life was like pre-gohan  Like what happened with her Mum, how her dad treated her as a child, what drove her to become such an awesome person, etc.Also, I don't really like SSJ3. Most people love it, but I'm just not a fan. It sort of popped out of nowhere and wasn't really used very effectively except for the Hirudegarn fight. I liked Gotenks, but I didn't like that he went SSJ3. Infact, I don't like how Trunks or Goten went SSJ at all. They had no emotional struggle that they needed to go through in order to get to that level and I don't see how it was possible that they reached it whereas Goku, Vegeta and future Trunks took so long to reach that level. I don't really like the rest of the fusions that happen either. But I do think that Gotenks is quite a cool character. I also hate how Gohan didn't defeat Buu. Over 9000 episodes to actually get to this "ultimate gohan" (or mystic, whatever you want to call it) stage and then in 3 episodes it's basically useless. Thrown aside in order for Vegeta and Goku to come in and pretend they rock the world. Don't get me wrong, I love Vegeta and Goku, but come on, how awesome was ultimate Gohan? That would have been a great ending to the story of DBZ where Gohan does some crazy ***** and then get absorbed, releases Fat Buu and then has to fight Kid Buu and then uses some wierd move that completely owns him when it seems all hope is lost(like Goku with the spirit bomb, but Gohan could have done something else). I also hate how when something huge or new comes out, there's instantly or relatively quickly something hugely greater than it that just pops out of no where and then there's something better than that until it just gets too ridiculous and has to end and the bad guy dies. It gets more and more apparent as we go through the series and by the time we get to the end of the Season 8 it's happening all over the place. And the last three episodes. How much I want to glare daggers at Akira Toriyama for *****ing up what could have been a good ending. He just throttles us into the future and we miss seeing what happens when Gohan goes back to school, Goku goes back to being Goku and you know, we don't get to see what happens. Sure, he wanted to end the series but he didn't have to just say "okay we're now in the future and Pan, Trunks, Goten, Goku and Uub are now huge characters whereas everyone else is just a piece of ***** on the side of the road" and I feel that there could have been a WAY better ending than just Goku saying "oh hey Uub, I'm going to be a complete dumbass as usual and ditch all my family and friends for the reincarnation of the most powerful and evil being I've ever fought! And to think, the next however many years of training you will be completely useless because you become redundant in GT whereas I becfome the main character to everyone's surprise!" Man I should write a book. |

1. Goku simple as that. I was actually happy that they killed off Goku because he was the worst character ever with the most annoying voice actor. Plus his jokes r lame. 2. Power up and SSJ transformation. I actually liked the Kaioken technique Goku uses but they killed it off with the lame SSJ transformation which it isn't a so called legend as Vegeta describe it as. 3. Dr.Gero and his creations. Somehow a no named human with human materials and technology did a better job making his so call cyborgs than Frieza's pathetic Galaxy's greatest scientist with high tech alien technology could have ever done. Just mess up. 4. The shows 2 long. Srsly they should of just ended it at the Freiza saga. I could go on but I'll leave it at that. |

Its not only the villains but also other side characters, I saw an episode where Gohan was the "Great Sayiaman" (which annoyed me a little because it was so dumb) and he saved passengers on a plane by lifting it up as it was falling. The last character that was showed in the plane was a girl who looked exactly like Valise, the girl Goten goes out with in DBGT. |

Wow some of you guys really thought about this and put down some very tiny details which I completly agree with most of them. Especially how Goku leaves at the end of Z and basicly says F off to his family and friends to go train Ubb. In my opinion there is way to many things to name. I love the concept of DBZ and I'm a huge fan but myself and probably most of the fans on this board could re-write EVERY episode and make it better than what it was. Honestly I think there are just to many things for me to list that I hated if you include all the small aspects. I did however just make a post in the debate section regarding some big improvements to the seires if you guys want to check it out. I'm interested to read others opinions on what I stated in it. I hate how goku(for the most part) was the only one that was able to save the day. They should of let it be a team effort, or even make it so someone else did it. |
